The Process...

So, here is the set.  Left side going down, then Right side going down, we have the following colors:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Aqua, Blue, Violet, Indigo, Magenta, & Baker-Miller Pink.

I have two lists that briefly describe the benefits to each color.  One list describes mood benefits while the other describes potential health benefits like lowered blood pressure, appetite suppressant, increase in digestion productivity, etc...

For this project, I will be wearing one color at a time for a stretch of one week per color.  Some colors will not be able to be worn throughout the whole day as they may have limited visibility depending on the function at hand (driving or working on the clock).  My hope is to write on my experience with the color of the week either every day or every other day, providing an overall summary to the week at the end of each week.

In addition to all that, I will be randomly picking the color by reaching into a drawer that they are all in and blindly picking one.  At the end of the week, after I post my experience, I will then post what the list says about the color just worn.  Until that time, I will not be reviewing the components of the list so as to not influence the outcome of the experience anymore than I have already exposed myself to the knowledge.

Thank you for checking out this process with me and following along.
Be well, have fun, and remember to be kind to yourself.  You are worth it!

  1. Fascinating Tim! This must have something to do with the light spectrum since white (visible) light breaks down into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Is that the idea?

    1. Hey James,
Thanks for checking in. I'd like to encourage that you pass the word along in other social media you might be apart of so others can follow along. I don't have other outlets at this time. But to answer your question, I don't know that I have the actual answer. I just found it interesting that certain colors have been found to have particular health benefits, so I thought I would put it to the test and see how my body and mood functions. If everything follows in suit to what the lists suggests, then after all this week by week, I should be functioning at a more optimum level. Along with some chakra clearing I am starting to work on, I have started to read up on Color Therapy as a whole in it's daily function in the way we live from the colors we wear to the colors we eat. It is all very fascinating. When I was attending college, I found that I was having trouble reading on certain types of white paper. The text would create shadows and it was difficult to read. However, when I used a light blue transparency strip the shadows went away and I was able to focus on the material and could read it just fine. I figure that's just one color adjusting one ailment. Imagine the possibilities! If looking through colored lenses can lessen the negativity in the world and bring a deeper sense of compassion, allowing those to participate in kindliness without even giving it a second thought, then I think it is worth looking into. :) Would you like to grab coffee soon if you have some free time?
